Romotive : Your Robot Companion

Everything around us is going virtual and digital. So why not a companion. Introducing Romotive : an amazing robot companion which learns while it plays with you. It’s literally an iPhone on wheels. Here check the pic below and if you want to see it in action watch the video too:

This robot can be docked with the iPhone 5/4S/4 & iTouch 4th Gen and can be remotely controlled from anywhere as long as you have internet. You can train it as well to perform certain pre-defined functions on certain conditions. It’s got face expressions too to make it more realistic.

So next time you are on a business trip but your kids miss you a lot. No worries, just log onto to Romotive from your laptop and make them feel as if you are with them, albeit a little smaller in size and in a different shape.  There can endless number of applications one can think of with a moving, remotely controlled iPhone. Snooping is just one of them ;).

iOS 7 Bug : Anyone can make a call from your locked iPhone

With the many security bugs being discovered in iOS 7, here’s another found by a Palestinian man. This bug allows anyone to make a call from your iPhone even if it is password protected. Though iPhone allows emergency calls while it is locked, this bug shows that if you continuously tap the call button, the call will ultimately go through. Check the video below for a demo :

However, the new iPhone 5S & 5C already come with a software update in which this issue has been fixed. But for those of you having the older iPhones (running on iOS 7) , this bug still exists. Beware!

iPhone 5S & iPhone 5C : Which one do you prefer ?

So the wait for the new iPhone 5S and 5C is finally over. Apple has taken quite a radical step moving from it’s monotone product line to absolutely wonderful colours with the 5C. The 5S also will be available in Metallic Gold. The most striking technological advancement on 5S (apart from the iOS 7 , iSight camera which is on both phones ) is the much-rumoured fingerprint scanner which has been brilliantly embedded within the popular circular button. Premium security.

The whole point of launching a cheaper iPhone 5C was probably to get more market share. But with the 5C without-contract starting at about $550, just a $100 below the 5S, it would be interesting to see if the strategy works for Apple. Anyways, let’s forget about that now. On first thoughts, which one would you prefer ?
